[Harp-L] Re: amplifier stands

Hey, they're all good ideas. If I was in need and short on dough I'd probably go with the tubing thing.

I'm just anticipating what will likely happen in the course of a giging musician's life. That stand will eventually get crushed or bent some ham fisted stage hand. The fender legs are gonna last the life of the amp and you won't forget to pack them. If mounted properly, they'll look like they belonged on the amp. This makes the tilting legs a more economical choice for the long haul

If SonnyJr offered them as an option, would you more inclined to install them on the outside, where IMO they rightly belong.

And, as I should mentioned in my original post YMMV, JOMO (just one man's opinion) etc.

Howard,
No problem with your idea either, I was simply trying to provide some
options for the original poster. The 'cheap steel tubing contraption' carries a 4 1/2 star
out of 5
rating so some explanation might be in order for your characterization? The
genuine
Fender tilt-back legs may be just the item for a Sonny Jr 410 however. Twice
the money, but they are genuine Fender. If I went this route, I'd find a way to mount
them inside
the cabinet to avoid marring the outside of that Sonny Jr 410 finish though.
If I owned
a Sonny Jr 410, I don't think I'd be too eager to be drilling holes through
my tweed finish, but that's a personal point of view.

How about a pair of genuine Fender tilt-back legs? They'll hold up a lot longer that a cheap steel tubing contraption.

Mike you might want to check out something like this:

Tiltback-Amp-Stand?sku=450728
or if you're a creative type create your own out of inexpensive and
lightweight PVC pipe (actually pretty cool):
